Hmm - not doable with the current division between the main hobbit
daemon and the alert module (the main daemon, hobbitd, is the one
that hands out data for the webpage generators, but it has no
knowledge of the alert rules so it doesn't know if an alert has been
sent for a status or not).

I do get your point, and it does make some sense. My own NOC people
have asked for a simple "acknowledge this status from the NK view" for
a long time now.
I have some ideas for an enhanced alert-module in version 4.1. I'll
see if I can work out a solution to this.
