Wrong interfaces in if_load test

Hey all

Running Xymon (Teribithia) v4.3.30 along with DEVMON.

Recently we've found that RRD files are present for completely wrong
interfaces for many devices polled by DEVMON.

For example, I'm seeing if_load.StackPort1.rrd files for 110 devices we
only have two stacks. Even some routers have this rrd file present.

Has anyone else seen this. Happy to provide more info.

Thanks

Hi Colin,

I did already have this problem, but I dont know exactly where it come from, and probably not from Xymon: I can just suggest you to verify your devmon timers if you changed them. Also, I suspect that this arrives when there is an outage, but I was never be able to reproduce it.

Hi Bruno

I've checked the devmon.cfg file and found that all timing settings are
default except for MAXPOLLTIME which is 40 instead of the default of 10.
The reason for this is we have a lot of devices at remote 3G/4G and high
latency satellite sites so we kicked SNMPTIMEOUT and SNMPTRIES up a few
notches.

Thanks
