Does anyone know on what host the hobbit-alert.cfg should exist? Should
it be the same host as the machine that has "bbpage" running on it or
"bbdisplay" or both (in my case, these are not the same server)? I
notice that my configuration does not display the alerts on the "info"
test of a server that I've configured to have alerts. Maybe it needs to
be in both places?

Sent this out at an awkward just-pre-weekend time so it's possible no
one caught it. Any ideas?

Thanks.

hobbit-alerts.cfg is on the server.

I would have to say bbpage as bbpage does paging (AKA alerting) while
bbdisplay throws out the HTML pages.

Yeah, placing it on bbpage does not appear to ever cause bbgen to
mention it in the "info" test. I've since copied it to the bbdisplay
server and the stuff now shows up. I suppose I will try placing it in
one location and then another and seeing what works each way. Maybe it
will not display it unless it's on the display server but not page
unless it's on the page server (or perhaps everything can be on the
display server -- guess we'll see).

It needs to be on both, if you want it be used in the generation of the
"info" pages and for sending out alerts.

Thanks,
