this is blatantly off-topic for Xymon, but hey ... it is my mailing list :-)
I am curious if anyone has experience with a couple of GIS (Geographical Information Systems) tools: MapServer - www.mapserver.org - and GeoWebCache - www.geowebcache.org. In particular what kind of hardware they need. MapServer apparently is a CGI program that generates map images, and that sounds a bit heavy to me; GeoWebCache is a cache for map images and I recon that needs a fair chunk of disk storage.
