How do I debug a hobbit client?

I'm trying to get the hobbit client running on AIX (5.3 TL-02) -- and
while it starts, and stays up, it's not generating a 'msg.txt' file.

Here's all I've got in the log:

2007-01-04 14:41:32 hobbitlaunch starting
2007-01-04 14:41:32 Loading tasklist configuration from
/usr/local/bbuser/client/etc/clientlaunch.cfg

TIA

The client task usually logs to "hobbitclient.log" - anything there?

I seem to recall there was a problem with AIX and netstat reported some
time ago, where the client would hang while running "netstat -an".
Check what processes you have running spawned from hobbitlaunch (if
any).

Well, I beat my way through part of it; I'll take a look again tomorrow.

For some reason, BBTMP never got set. After hard-coding it in
hobbitclient.sh I could get hobbitclient.sh to run and get
hobbitclient_AIX.sh to run, with output. But hobbitlaunch doesn't seem
to be starting hobbitclient.sh.

I have a suspicion -- letcha know tomorrow.

Thanks!

Interesting.

The failure was an incomplete pass at cut & pase update of the
clientlaunch.cfg. As a result, I had multiple [client] stanzas. I'm
assuming that only the last one got launched, and it's a quick-running
test that leaves no tracks on the client.

Now to work on my centralized "I don't care" rules . . .
