how to disable flapping notifications?

How do I disable flapping? Our host sometimes has issues and xymon starts spamming all kinds of flapping messages. I only need alerts if the host is not responding to a certain service and not if it flaps. I have found: http://www.xymon.com/xymon/help/manpages/man8/xymond.8.html "Track the N latest status-changes for flap-detection. See the * --flap-seconds* option also. To disable flap-checks, set N to zero. Default: 5 " where in the config do I put this? tia

Yes it shows red even though it's up but flapping. (network issues). If it see's green I need it to clear the red and not pretend to be red because it's flapping. I just need to turn off flapping. this was never a problem before 4.3. Tom. On Thu, Mar 1, 2012 at 4:14 PM, Josh Luthman

Just edit tasks.cfg where you have the xymond entry add a line like the
highlighted one below,
[xymond]
ENVFILE /xymon/server/etc/xymonserver.cfg
CMD xymond --pidfile=$XYMONSERVERLOGS/xymond.pid \
--restart=$XYMONTMP/xymond.chk
--checkpoint-file=$XYMONTMP/xymond.chk --checkpoint-interval=600 \
--log=$XYMONSERVERLOGS/xymond.log \
--admin-senders=127.0.0.1,$XYMONSERVERIP \
--store-clientlogs=!msgs
--flap-count=0
