Hi,

I would like to monitor some special TCP port from my hobbit server. Since those port are not famous at
all, I quickly oriented my choice on a hping related tool. I've found "bbhping.sh" which runs only for BB.
Any ideas for something similar who could help me to determine in the host, via a "TCP ping", is up or not
please ?

I am having issues with the graphs. I do not have anything on the y axis and no titles are present. I have modified the hobbitgraph.cfg and tried the on off of the demo site. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Please help. Here is a sample of a CPU graph.

Thanks,
Wes

It might help to include what is in the hobbitgraph.cfg

Maybe you are missing:

TITLE Title of graph

YAXIS yaxis label

in the past, people have seen this issue as part of an rrdtool problem. rrdtool and the font it is trying to use (i think). So if this is not a cusom graph, but an out-of-the-box graph hobbit should be producing... take a look at your rrdtool install.

Definitely the missing font. On some Linux distributions, the font is in a
separate package to the rrdtool library, and the package shipping the font is
not required by the library package (e.g. librrdtool), and fixing this is as
simple as installing the package that provides the font (e.g. rrdtool).

Some info on what distro you are using, and/or how you installed rrdtool (and
Hobbit for that matter) may get a quicker solution.

Buchan

Thank you for all the help. RRD was looking for the font in the wrong
directory.
