Hello,

I am trying to set up alerts for orasys, particularly when listener is
down.

Did anyone do this?

I have xymon 4.2.2 and Roracle-2.21 on Solaris OS.

Thanks,

Camelia

If it's just the listener that can be done with a network test (don't even need that roacle stuff).

Add this to your bb-hosts file:

10.10.10.100 hostname # oratns:1527 "DOWNTIME=*:*:2300:2330:Scheduled Downtime,0:*:0300:0310:Scheduled Downtime"

Downtime is optional and syntax is from hobbit-4.2.0.

Port 1527 can be changed to whatever you are running the listener on.

Regards,
Tim
