acklog empty
list Asif Iqbal
Hi All I just ran this as user hobbit bb 127.0.0.1 "hobbitdack 181402 999" to delay the red alert related to the ackcode 181402 for 999 mins. I got another alert after this command with the same ackcode for same host.service Is my syntax wrong? I do not see any thing in data/acks/acklog file. Also the time stamp on acklog show one week old. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated Thanks -- Asif Iqbal PGP Key: 0xE62693C5 KeyServer: pgp.mit.edu "It is not the strongest of the species that survives, not the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change." - Charles Darwin

Syntax is fine, it did delay actually as soon as my delay email reached hobbit. However my only concern is that the acklog is empty. Is that normal? Thanks

The above syntax does not work and verified by checking the acktime in
hobbitdboard output.
bb 127.0.0.1 "ack ack_event ${ACKCODE} ${DELAY} ${OPTIONAL TEXT}" is the
only syntax that works to delay an alert.
It also shows in the hobbitboard's acktime and in the server/acks/acklog
file.
Thanks

There's a bug in the handling of "hobbitdack" commands. The "ack ack_event" command (which does the same thing) does work. I've fixed it for RC3, also cleaned up the acknowledgment displays on both the BB2 page and the status page. Henrik
