Bbwin central mode bugs
list Renard Samuel
Hi all! I've installed the last release of Xymon (4.2.2) and switch conf of my windows servers to central mode. But I've got a problem : All the netstat tests are purple. How can I delete them (I don't care about this test) ? I tested : $ bb 127.0.0.1 "DROP HOSTNAME netstat" but no effect. Another problem : With some windows servers, tests like svcs, ports, uptime and who are also in purple and the others tests are green, problem ? Question : Can I monitor (in central mode) svcs test with the hobbit-clients.cfg ? There's no key word SVCS (like DISK, PORT, ...) Is it a bug or there's a tip ? I've had this problem myself, caused by the messages being sent from the servers being too long - I added the following to the top of my hobbitserver.cfg file: MAXMSG_DATA="5242880" MAXMSG_CLIENT="5242880" MAXMSG_STATUS="5242880" and it seems to have fixed it. I realise it's probably not the right thing to do, and I'll probably get a gentle telling off. :-) Carl

Hi try using full path. You should be able to drop a column with the command like this: /hobbit/server/bin/bb 127.0.0.1 "drop boden jvm_mem" /hobbit/server/bin/bb 127.0.0.1 "drop <servername> <columnname>" -- mvh mogens busk user-299afb767d0c@xymon.invalid

Thanks! It's perfect ! No more purple tests! To mogens busk : The drop command is working.. I don't know why it failed. My xymon is close to the perfection :) Samuel,
