I am reloading hobbit and do not understand this and I think this is
where im making the mistake :
1. Where to put the Hobbit CGI Scripts ? /var/www/html ? or default to
/home/hobbit/cgi-bin ?
2. What is the URL for the hobbit CGI directory ? /hobbit-cgi ?
(must I use the default here ?)

There must be something very wrong with your configuration. Clicking on
disk shouldn't try to take you to the bbd page.
