Ideally yes, since we don't want to be dependent on the main server for
monitoring our own site, the BBSERVERIP=137.202.205.54 (the proxies IP
address).
Thanks,
Jason.

This is everything from hobbitlaunch.cfg on the proxy (minus comments)
So, you pretty much have everything enabled.
[...]
[bbdisplay]
ENVFILE /usr/local/hobbit/server/etc/hobbitserver.cfg
GROUP generators
CMD bbgen $BBGENOPTS --report --nopropyellow=msgs,uptime
LOGFILE $BBSERVERLOGS/bb-display.log
INTERVAL 1m
Depending on the values in hobbitserver.cfg (I think BBSERVERIP but I
haven't
confirmed), this may be generating the traffic.
Do you really need the html pages to be available on this "proxy"
server?

Buchan

Hi All,
I got the proxy set-up between our site here and in Newbury but at
4:30
last night I got a call saying we were using a high level of
bandwidth,
the network team investigated and found hobbit to be using 50% of
our
2mb connection, is this normal? How can I run tests etc. to see how
the
proxy is working and are there any settings I might alter to make it
use
less bandwidth?
Please explain how you have set up your proxy.
For instance, in your scenario, I would expect that the *only* things
running
(not marked as DISABLED in hobbitlaunch.cfg) on your "proxy" are the
bbproxy
and bbnet tasks.
