Sounds to me like you need to delete the files.
That's old BB knowledge. Xymon doesn't use files for any live data,
only historical data. See my previous response - there is probably
a client running on the now-deleted-from-bb-hosts server.

And if you do want to delete files, then sending a "drop" command for the
host is a much cleaner way. And it makes sure all files are dropped.
