OK, connection refused. I'm not very familiar with the oracle listener
but clearly that is wrong. I see that you say the listening port is 1527
- normally that is 1521. Are you sure your number is correct? Another
thing you can do is just telnet to the port: telnet hostname 1527 to
see if the server is listening on that port - if that is the right
number.
