do you have gcc installed?
Just check with find / -name gcc -type f -ls and it should display something
like that:
22054 128 -r-xr-xr-x 3 root bin 121804 Feb 22 2008
/usr/sfw/bin/gcc
If thats the case you just have to add /usr/sfw/bin (or whatever path is
displayed there) to your PATH environment variable.
Otherwise you have to install gcc.
