It's not quite that simple due to the requirement of rrdtool. I just tried
to install xymon on RHEL and stumbled over rrdtool. I found that and
installed it, but xymon still didn't find the include files. It has been a
while since I installed Hobbit 4.2.0 on solaris (and this is my first
attempt on a linux server), but I remember having similar issues there, too.
You have to install rrdtool first, know where the libraries and the include
files are and then when you do the configure for xymon you might have to
point it to those things.

Obtain the source. Read the documentation.
Not sure about Solaris but in the Linux world I usually just
./configure && make && make install

I have seen your site www.xymon.com and very impressive with graph/SMS
both
are integrated. Please also suggest how to integrate graph/SMS in
Solaris
environment.
