Charles,
Read Milne's email. He is trying to collect information to make changes
to the configuration script which you requested. What part of your
brain tells you to be rude to someone trying to comply with your
request? Am apology might be in order.

bgmilne, my email says "disregard" Is there any part of your brain that
doesn't understand that?

Please disregard earlier email. Problem solved.
Apparently when your hobbit configure script runs it offers an
option of
using a native fping or not.
Which version are you using?
There is no option. fping must be installed
or the hobbit server will not be able to ping clients.
This has not been my experience, however this was why I specifically
asked
about the value of the FPING variable in hobbitserver.cfg, which you
didn't
answer ...
Can someone fix the
configure script to reflect this? Thanks.
I can take a look, but it would be easier with complete instructions
to
reproduce (and any relevant details about the platform you are on).
