There's some plumbing that needs to be finished for all supported OS's,
but the following two patches should help the Linux side -- client data
coming in and the server-side client message parser enabled.

I know a script woud be easy to do -- it just amazed me that it was
apparently not built-in (in other words, xymon has so much, I was shocke
to discover this missing).

df -i
shows what you want , a xymon script check should be easy to hack
