Hi,

I promised to send more information about the GSM Modem I used, but
unfortunately the manufacturer stopped producing anything alike. I used
a FALCOM SAMBA 55 (Old product page at
http://www.falcom.de/products/discontinued-items/samba5556/ )

Sorry for the bad news on this. Their modems were well supported and
reliable.

CU,
Martin
I haven't used these, but using the link Martin sent, I was able to
google for USB GSM modem and found these and several others

http://www.rfsolutions.co.uk/acatalog/USB_GSM_Modem.html

I suspect just about any GSM USB data connector could be used.

I've had good luck with the Sierra Wireless USB305's - I dumped
a pre-paid AT&T sim card in there and it worked fine.
