clientupdate with bbmessage

Hello hobbit users,

Can anyone tell me if bbmessage.cgi correctly handles clientupdate
processes?The man page does not mention this and I am guessing that it
does not.

Is there a document somewhere that describes the client update process
from a communications perspective?
