Rich was referring to the client binary on the server machine.

The server machine should run both the server processes and the client
processes. The client processes reports to the server just as another
machine would.

Actually all the purple statuses are from the Server.
I am in the process of setting up a client.

I have Hobbit version 4.2.0 installed.

Thanks,

Hello all,

I'm still in the process of setting up hobbit Server. I have hobbit
server running on a Ubuntu Linux machine.

I have purple status for (the server) cpu, disk, files, memory, msgs,
ports, and procs. It's a square with waves. How can I get rid of the purple
status. I null'ed the files in ~/data/hist but the status won't turn to
green. What do I do to fix it?

Thanks!

Which Hobbit release did you install? It appears that the client is not
running.

Go to the client directory and issue:

./runclient.sh start
