Your test is checking if the file is less than 5 minutes old (mtime<300).
You want it to be mtime>600

I am attempting (without much luck) to get the mtime working. I want an alert to change to red if the file is older than 10 minutes. The file resides on a Windows 2012r2 box.
The details are
Server Ubuntu 16.04.3.LTS
Xymon: xymon-4.3.28
Client-local.cfg
[MGTPW0D01W]
FILE:C:/Bginfo/Junk.txt<FILE:///C:/Bginfo/Junk.txt>
Analysis.cfg

FILE /Bginfo/junk.txt mtime<300 RED
XYMON
The Xymon display page shows the file is older than 10 minutes but does not update the display.
