You're probably running Hobbit 4.1.1. There are several bugs in
the hobbitd_client module when it comes to reading the configuration 
file - especially related to the memory settings. So I wouldn't
be surprised if you would have to run one of the post-4.1.1 
versions to get the correct behaviour.
