So, to sum up, you need
/etc/cron.daily/logrotate
/etc/logrotate.conf
/etc/logrotate.d/hobbit
all set up to have your hobbit logs rotated.  Anything you're not sure of,
look at those on the server where the logs are getting rotated now.
