No. I don't think it could be the right way.  (and this is limited to  1024...rlim_fd_max in /etc/system)

I have one box with 8 segment for hobbit.

Why don't you put shmseg to 32 and try again ?
set shmsys:shminfo_shmseg=32  (I'd even set it to 64)

and also increase shminfo_shmmni
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=512
