Acknowledgment email

Is there a way to get an acknowledgment to generate an email the way the
alerts do?  I've poked through all the list archives, but haven't found
anything about it.  I have alerts going to email lists so that several
support people will receive the email/page.  I'd like the acks to go there
too, so that the rest are informed when one of the group picks up the
problem.
