Looks ok. Other than you copied my typo of 'comm' instead of 'conn'.

Oh, it looks like it doesn't like your double-quotes. I copied and pasted your command into mine (yes, my main server is called xymon as well - a CNAME anyway), and I got the error.
It looks like you have the opening double quotes instead of a "normal" double quote

So here is a history of three command. The first failed - I copied and pasted yours and changed xymon (hostname) to wilee, and 'comm' (test) to conn.

The first command failed, the other two succeeded.

1009 xymon 127.0.0.1 "disable wilee.conn -1 powered down for now"
1010 xymon xymon "disable wilee.conn -1 powered down for now"
1011 xymon 127.0.0.1 "disable wilee.conn -1 powered down for now"

BTW, the man pages are in your GUI, under 'HELP'. All of the wonderful things you can do on the command line, and how the syntax works in all the config files. Use it, they are the very rare well written Unix man pages.

Ok I tried again and I get this:

$ ./xymon 127.0.0.1 "disable xymon.comm -1 powered down for now"
Unknown option -1
Xymon version 4.3.28
Usage: ./xymon [--debug] [--merge] [--proxy=https://imss91-ctp.trendmicro.com:443/wis/clicktime/v1/query?url=http%3a%2f%2fip.of.the.proxy%3aport%2f%5d%20RECIPIENT%20DATA&umid=D11DCB3F-9492-EB05-B6DD-45E19806DAC1&auth=19120be9529b25014b618505cb01789c5433dae7-5d5a2b2435ba4c308b3c254204c2aecdedd84ca2
  RECIPIENT: IP-address, hostname or URL
DATA: Message to send, or "-" to read from stdin

Is my syntax incorrect?

It did not return anything nor do I see any changes on the Enable/disable page.

If that's where your xymon binaries are.

Would this be through the binary located in /xymon/server/bin?

Can you disable from the command line?

xymon <xymon server> "disable <client>.<test> <time to disable> <message>"

So something like
xymon 127.0.0.1 "disable myhost.comm -1 powered down for now"

Subject: Enable/disable Issue

Hi,

I am using xymon 4.3.28 and unable to disable services. I access the URL at /xymon-seccgi/enadis.sh from "Enable/disable" under the Administration menu. The page seems to load fine and I can select the hosts/tests and fill out the details below. The issue is nothing happens after clicking apply.
