The existing servers have a mixture of nothing after the host name, some
have testip.
To get the basic ping result do I need anything beyond the hostname? Other
info is returned from the hosts ok.

Subject: [hobbit] Confused with test settings!
All,
I'm still having problems getting the 'conn' status to show on my
newly
added servers. I've been using the config report (that Hobbit so
helpfully
gives on the webpage) to compare a new and an exisiting machine.
The exisiting machine has an entry in Network Tests for conn, whereas
my
new
one has no entries for network tests at all.
Question is this: How do I get an entry for network tests?
All network test are running on the Hobbit server, based on the entries
in the bb-hosts file.
It should normally be something like this:
10.10.10.10 somehost # some_tcp_test some_other_test
So, maybe you have a wrong definition / typo for your new servers in
your bb-hosts file.
