You might want to try opening it in Notepad++ and use the convert to *NIX
option from the drop down menu.

I see where the error is being generated in bb-prtdiag.sh but the
AWK command input is rather intimidating and I am not a big AWK
type person.

windoze pee cee...
If that is the case, you'll need to run the script through dos2unix to
remove the foreign line endings.
