Help also needed : XYmon + SNMP traps

Hi,

 I would like to know if anyone here setup a working XYmon + SNMP trap config?
 I've found this http://cerebro.victoriacollege.edu/hobbit-trap.html, but it's
 not crystal clear for me, I'm not a SNMP fanboy. Any advices, information or
 so ?
