I have done it in the past with OM but not OMi. There are several methods
you can use:
1. Write an alert script that will accept a Xymon alert and log it to a
file, then write a policy in the HP tool that will read the log file and
create alerts.
2. Write an alert script that will accept a Xymon alert and use the opcmsg
command to generate an appropriate alert in the HP tool.
There is additional complexity, of course if you want to:
* Implement "auto clearing"
* Parse the Xymon status message to get relevant information -- some Xymon
messages can be quite long
* Map the Xymon "colors" into OM/OMi message severities
* Map Xymon alert components into OM/OMi message attributes

Has anyone created any external scripts that would allow alerts generated
by Xymon to be reported into HP Tools (OMi)?
