Holly,

Can you try Paul's suggestion and let us know how it turns out, please?

Hi Holly. I'm wondering if [linux] matches your client ...

Try this in client-local.cfg:

[yourhost.domain.tld]
log:/var/log/messages:10240
file:/etc/passwd:md5
ignore MARK

You may need to restart your hobbit client on yourhost.domain.tld for
the changes to take effect.

still not working

I have put it into both cfg files

There doesn't seem to be a problem in solaris

Hi Holly. You may also need to configure the Hobbit server's
hobbit-clients.cfg file. For example,

HOST=yourhost.domain.tld
    FILE /etc/passwd owner=root mode=644

I'm not positive on this, but I believe the clients relay all kinds
of
information to the server and then it is up to the server to process
the files and report to bbdisplay.

I'm not sure where to configure this, though.

I have several different linux clients (suse redhat 3&4 ES)
They are not getting the file, port, msgs or proc data to monitor
(all
data is white and says: No files checked etc)

    What can I do?
