You can also set when the alerts happen in alerts.cfg, eg:

$WORK_HOURS=W:0700:1800

HOST=xxxx.whatever.com.au SERVICE=disk COLOR=RED
        SCRIPT /usr/local/xymon/server/ext/smsplus.sh  user-79bb2748513e@xymon.invalid TIME=$WORK_HOURS
        MAIL user-13565f94d514@xymon.invalid

This way you don't subvert the condition so you better know what is happening. Hope this helps.

Subject: [Xymon] Disk Only Yellow?

Hi, is it possible to just have a Yellow alert from a DISK filesystem
alert? No Red at all - I don't want to be woken in the middle of the
night by a non-critical disk filling up but still want to know about
it when I read e-mails and view the Xymon web page.

Regards,
