Could you try a package? https://terabithia.org/rpms/xymon/

You could try adjusting permissions to figure out what it takes to work. I
don't bother with compiling anymore myself, but I wrote this in ~2010
https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/System_Monitoring_with_Xymon/Administration_Guide/Compiling_on_CentOS

Oracle Linux is a RHEL family like centos. Oracle just had to have their

I use it as my team works with it on Oracle provided systems we work with.
So I try to keep on stuff they are familiar with. I just hope Oracle does
not destroy this like they did Solaris.

Are you using a package or compiling from source? I'm not familiar with
Oracle Linux at all.

Josh, I am building new servers. I have to get the old Sun hardware and
OS out. We have a bunch of HP dl360?s.

I am running into a bunch of issues with Linux9 so might have to roll
back. Or get a bigger hammer to get it all going.

Is this a new installation? Or did something change?

I am finding info about MPM prefork. All those made no change in this
issue. I have compared to my other servers. Those are solaris platforms
and Server version: Apache/2.4.46 (Unix)

My apache runs as user apache and group xmon. Xymon also runs as group
xmon. Server version: Apache/2.4.51 (Oracle Linux Server)

I am close I smell it.

Thanks for your time.
