It might work ... most of these are used by the network tester,
so if they work, then using --nodeps is OK.

However, personally I would fetch the source RPM in rebuild it
locally to make sure it references the right versions of the
libraries.
I've built a set of Fedora Core 4 RPM's - they're on Sourceforge
now.
