Whatever break you take over the summer is certainly well deserved. You've provided the world with a wonderful tool and this reader is very appreciative of all of your hard work.
I must concur that a Hobbit client should take precedence over other development activities (except perhaps bug fixes).
I tend to like the SNMP idea myself. Building a client around that arthitecture could solve a large number of problems, perhaps the biggest is support of a diverse number of operating systems.

into a reasonable shape for the more common platforms. I have some ideas
for a rather different client architecture than the current one, and
the client is also *the* missing piece of the whole Hobbit puzzle - so
I could be tempted to get that done. I'd like some feedback on what
you find most urgent.
