Certainly useful. I've added the information to the "Xymon tips" help page
so it won't be lost, but I think I'll keep the default xymonmenu.cfg file
as-is, since the workaround here makes the top-level menu items appear as
clickable links - also on normal browsers.

Didn't see any posted work-around in the list archives. The following

to work for me on the ipad by creating a "go nowhere" link that the ipad

use to open the menus. Hope it works for others.
In the ~xymon/server/etc/xymonmenu.cfg file, I added the '<a
href="javascript:;">' anchor around the top-level menu items. Like:
