Alerts Stopped Working with DURATION Keyword

While trying to add a new alert to alerts.cfg I seem to have killed all
my alerts. For testing I whittled the alerts.cfg down to one entry:

HOST=scadmzprx01.lereta.com     SERVICE=conn,http
  MAIL user-38d867ed794e@xymon.invalid COLOR=red DURATION>10
  SCRIPT /var/xymon/server/bin/sendsms user-d571bdabde19@xymon.invalid FORMAT=sms

I ran xymond_alert

Why does the MAIL option fail?  It works if I remove the DURATION keyword.

FTTB I removed the delayed notifications but I'd like them back

I am using xymon version 4.3.28.
