Those options had no apparent effect whatsoever even though files and msgs are both clear (ports was removed by hacking the client hobbitclient-linux.sh script).
Here is the ps output...
hobbit 17592 17572 0 06:30 ? 00:00:00 hobbitd_channel --channel=client --log=/home/hobbit/log/clientdata.log hobbitd_client --no-clear-msgs --no-clear-files --no-clear-ports
I made your recommended change, dropped the 2 tests, restarted the server and dropped the 2 tests again to no avail.

There are no uncommented PORT entries in hobbit-clients.cfg.
I have dropped the test several times and it keeps coming back. Same
goes for msgs, files and procs.
If what you want is to avoid all-clear columns, edit your
hobbitlaunch.cfg and add --no-clear... :
[clientdata]
ENVFILE /usr2/hobbit/server/etc/hobbitserver.cfg
NEEDS hobbitd
CMD hobbitd_channel --channel=client --log=$BBSERVERLOGS/clientdata.log hobbitd_client --no-clear-msgs --no-clear-files --no-clear-ports
