Hobbitping/xymonping OR fping?

From memory, I remember seeing Henrik suggest fping is better to use
then the included (with Xymon) ping tool.  I can't find any evidence
of this in the mailing list archives, though.

Is everyone running xymonping now successfully?  Has anyone been
forced to fping?  Is there an advantage of one over the other?
