test dependencie

I need to configure all tests for a large group of machines to be 
dependent on a certain test. Can I say ( for each hosts ):

depends=(%.*:hosta/testa) ?

the bb-host.cfg man page doesn't say anything about macros , can macros 
be used in any cfg files used by hobbit ?
