How would you go about it? First, check out my last 2-3 posts on this topic. I really don't know what else to try except maybe a clean installation (which shouldn't make any difference).

I think you are better off to hide these columns than to try to get rid of the standard tests. They are harmless with default settings.

That didn't work. Here is my bb-hosts entry...

142.78.43.171 opsappsl.lac-bac.gc.ca # NOCOLUMNS:msgs,ports,files,procs ctmoratst

I made the change in bb-hosts, restarted the bb server (although not required I think) and then dropped the tests using the following commands.

 bb 127.0.0.1 "drop opsappsl.lac-bac.gc.ca msgs"
 bb 127.0.0.1 "drop opsappsl.lac-bac.gc.ca ports"
 bb 127.0.0.1 "drop opsappsl.lac-bac.gc.ca files"
 bb 127.0.0.1 "drop opsappsl.lac-bac.gc.ca procs"

They keep coming back and I'm getting scared ;-)

Benjamin

P.S. The ctmoratst works fine.

Try adding NOCOLUMNS:ports to the host in bb-hosts.

Hi, I'm having a problem with
  dropping a host's test.

I perform the following command from
the server (there are no output
errors or errors in the error
  log)...

 bb 127.0.0.1 "drop opsappsl.lac-bac.gc.ca
  ports"

Within a couple of minutes the ports column gets
  dropped and then a
couple of minutes later the column
reappears. So the drop command works
ok but the settings
  do not stick.

I've RTFM'd and searched the web for answers to
  no avail. Anyone have
any ideas?

thanks
