See the man page for hobbitserver.cfg. The FPING environment variable
specifies which program to use for ping. It defaults to hobbitping. Change
that and restart the server.

Thanks,
Is there a procedure I should follow to move to fping away from
hobbitping?
Thanks,

I just started using fping about a month ago and it is much better than
hobbitping at reporting accurate RTT.

Hi,
I am just getting started with the Xymon 4.2.3, and am very pleased
 with
that the trending and graphing I've been looking for comes pre- built
ready and working immediately after install.
I have a couple questions that I wouldn't mind to be answered
 though...
In the "conn" section of each host, the Y-Axis is in seconds, however
the results seem odd as they are showing in milliseconds rather than
microseconds. testing from the command line, the results are all
under
500us. I opted to use hobbitping, but can move to fping if that may
be
the problem.
Thanks,
Mario
