Ryan,

Thanks for the reply. Granted I didn't add much detail because this is in
"preparation" of adding clients, so this is just the Xymon display server
(a default install) I'm dealing with. It's a very basic config using RH5
or RH6 (happens on both) and the latest(?) version of Xymon - 4.3.7. I
used to play with an older version (back when it was named "Hobbit") that
did display the dashes, which is why I'm asking - to see if this is just a
new setting and/or a bug - and I've tried to make it as simple as possible
for anyone to replicate.

Thanks,
D

You don't say how your setup is done (mine for example is split between
display and network test machines), but mine DOES work that way -- as
long as the host is in the bb-hosts file (I'm still running 4.2.3) on
the machine generating the web page, it will be there with -'s.

In preparation of a client sending data to a Xymon server, a hosts.cfg
file was set up as follows:

page page Page
0.0.0.0 server1 # noconn
0.0.0.0 server1.a # noconn
0.0.0.0 server1.b # noconn
subpage subpage Subpage
[HOSTIP] [HOST]

Having received no data from the client yet, I would expect to see these
3 servers on the Page, instead all I see is a Page with a link to a
Subpage which correctly displays my server. Is there a way (some
configuration setting or option) to have the servers show up on the Page
with dashes (-) for the column names until I actually receive data?
