secondary/slave dns server monitoring

Hi,

When specifying dns tests in the hosts.cfg file, does xymon perform a
dns/dig lookup to the server IP address, or is it a lookup using the
resolver of the server hosting xymon?

I want to construct some tests to ensure that DNS is active/resolving
for a secondary/slave DNS servers without requiring the server to run
the agent.
